Anna Souter is an arts writer and editor based in London, specialising in editorial projects for galleries, cultural institutions and creative ventures. Working across the creative sector, she has experience in arts publishing as well as working for artists, galleries, record companies and not-for-profit arts organisations.
Her special area of interest is the intersection between art and nature. She has explored issues of landscape, women’s art, walking, pilgrimage and botany for publications including Dateagleart, Roam Magazine, Rucksack Magazine and Oh Comely.
Recent clients include Roman Road Gallery, D&AD, The Art Story, Obsidian Records and Better Students APS. Art publications include Roman Road Journal, ArtSlant, Art UK, CultureLabel and The Upcoming.
Anna’s educational background spans a variety of artistic fields. She has a BA in English literature from the University of Cambridge, where she was also involved in music as a choral scholar. She went on to complete an MA in history of art at the Courtauld Institute, London, specialising in twentieth-century sculpture.
