BIO

Anna Souter is a writer, researcher, and curator with an interest in the intersections between contemporary art and ecology. As an art critic and journalist, her work has been published by Art Monthly, The Architectural Review, Burlington Contemporary, The Guardian, Hyperallergic, and Resurgence & Ecologist, among others. Her curatorial projects include collaborations with Omved Gardens, Roman Road, DATEAGLE ART, Lychee One, and RCA Critical Practice. She also writes fiction and has participated in research groups and residencies with Kone Foundation, Corridor8, Exposed Art Projects, and Artquest Peer Forum at Camden Art Centre.

Recipient of the GRAIN Projects Writing Bursary 2020 supported by Arts Council England

Artquest Peer Forum at Camden Arts Centre, 2019-[ongoing]. Organised by artist Lea Collet, the group explores the importance of collective affection and how artists can organise, communicate, present themselves and work towards social change by sharing a more personal and intimate voice through their work.

Intelligence Debiased‘ research group at Exposed Art Projects, 2020-[ongoing]. The group is investigating how intelligence can be recognised and understood beyond the anthropomorphic bias.
